– Negativity & self pity. Chronic whining about being victimized by life, with no discussion of how to improve their situation.
– Laziness. Refusal to expend energy to locate, generate or simply take advantage of opportunity staring them in the face.
– Avoidance. Failing to take initiative to complete tasks they know must be completed in order to make their next move. (Includes making a plan to know what those moves are.)
– Analytical inertia. Accepting conventional wisdom, which is often wrong. Abdicating your own opinion bcuz regurgitating what someone else says is easier.
– Denial. Refusal to think deeply & critically about your opportunities & responsibilities in life – specifically in shaping your future & making contributions to yourself, loved ones, society, & humanity in general.Sigh..guess I should quit being lazy, avoidant & in denial – wishing my Master’s project would do itself – & get to work. 🙂

The contrast that gives us ummph (eventually) to pursue what we really want…
Or the still or nothing moments that allow for inspiration to arise…
Or the fertile ground (especially day dreaming) for cultivating what’s next…
Jamelle Sanders at 2:18pm March 18
Bro, the biggest cause of purposelessness has to be divided focus. That thought just came to me during lunch today. Focusing on too many things; instead of masting the one God has called you to do.
